Comments |
•Rare malignant vascular tumor arising from spindle cells from endothelial origin •Frequently having metastases at the time of diagnosis •Very poor prognosis •Most commonly occurs in patients in their 60-70s with a male predominance (M:F = 4:1)
•Typically have non-specific abdominal symptoms and may present with an abdominal mass or hepatomegaly, can also present with spontaneous rupture and hemoperitoneum <Radiologic Findings> •Most commonly present as multiple masses •Bizarre shape with variable appearances reflecting the pleomorphic histological nature –Internal hemorrhage may present as fluid-fluid level •T1/T2-weighted MRI: heterogeneous areas of high signal reflecting mixed tumor and hemorrhage •Dynamic imaging: heterogeneous enhancement with progressive filling
•Avid FDG uptake on PET-CT
