adenoma with low-grade dysplasia>

 

* Familial adenomatous polyposis syndrome

--Autosomal dominant; however, spontaneous mutations in 10-30%

--Adenomatous polyps typically involve the colon

--Extracolonic GI manifestations

-Fundic gland polyps: m/c

-Duodenum: 2nd m/c site (50-90%), adenomas (tubular or villous adenomas) à periampullary cancer (lifetime incidence: up to 12%)

-Adenomas in the jejunum and ileum: about 20% of FAPS patients
