Diagnosis Mucinous cystic neoplasm (MCN)
Comments
MCN
Previously known as hepatobiliary cystadenoma/cystadenoca.
Very rare in GB: first report (Simmons et al., in1989)
Pathology
Lining epithelium: mucin-rich columnar cells + ovarian stroma
¡¾ atypical tumor cells

Gross pathology & radiologic appearances
Multilocular cystic mass within the GB wall
May similar to MCN in the liver, bile duct, and pancreas
May mimic appearance of adenomyomatosis
DDx: Adenomyomatosis (linear arrangement)
           MCN (more large &
multilocular appearance)
